The Challenge

It is part of Lyreco's philosophy to provide customers with a unique customer experience. The aim is to make every product description in the print catalogue and in the web shop appealing and precise, to facilitate the customer's buying decision. In the multilingual Swiss market, the creation of conversion-strong product texts is traditionally a costly and complex process.

The Solution

The automatic text generation using a solution by Retresco enables Lyreco to efficiently create highly personalised product descriptions for the linguistically segmented markets of Switzerland. With the push of a button, the software generates product descriptions in German, English, French, and Italian from the manufacturers' data. Through automation, Lyreco reduces the time spent on creating their product descriptions and also the costs for translating all texts.

The Result

70 percent of the texts in the webshop and 87 percent of the texts for the supplier's catalogues were automatically generated using Retresco software solution. The colleagues in the content team benefit as they no longer have to write lengthy product descriptions and coordinate with service providers such as translation agencies. They can now focus more on creative tasks and thereby drive the online growth of Lyreco Switzerland AG.
